Maryland Provides 100,000 Fluoride Varnish Applications to Children Across the State
Maryland officials announced today that it reached a significant milestone- 100,000 fluoride varnish applications have been applied by medical providers through Maryland's Mouths Matter fluoride varnish program, an initiative launched in 2009 designed to prevent tooth decay in high-risk children throughout the state.
The Office of Oral Health is pleased to announce the availability of the "one year oral health grant applications." There are two applications packages- one for Oral Disease and Injury Prevention and one for Dental Sealants. These grant opportunities are available ONLY to Maryland local health departments.

The Oral Health Survey of Maryland School Children, 2011-2012 is a statewide follow-up survey on the oral health status of school children in 2005. This assessment provides the most up-to-date data on the oral health status and access to dental care for kindergarten and third grade public school children in the State.
