MCIP was established by the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH). The partnership has worked closely with the DHMH Center for Immunization to identify the pertinent issues relevant to implementation of an immunization registry. MCIP is composed of public and private organizations, which are concerned with the issues of childhood immunization and registry development. If you are interested in joining MCIP email firstname.lastname@example.org
Immunization Meaningful Use Data Submission Process
The objective for meaningful use as it relates to immunizations is the capability to submit electronic data to immunization registries or Immunization Information Systems and actual submission in accordance with applicable law and practice. The measure of this requirement is to perform at least one test of certified EHR technology’s capacity to submit electronic data to immunization registries and follow up submission if the test is successful.
