Starting a Youth Camp

 

Requirements: A youth camp operator must obtain a certificate or letter of compliance from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH), Center for Healthy Homes and Community Services (CHHS) to operate a youth camp. The certificate is non-transferable.  

1. Print the Application for New Youth Camps 

2. Go to Most Requested Forms and Documents for sample forms and documents to help write the various plans called for in the application.

3. Sign-up to attend one of our free new directors trainings.  These trainings are usually conducted in February and March each year. Click here to Register for Training.
